VICTORIES is aiming at the realization of more than three orders of magnitude better energy efficiency of the network than today, catching up the rapidly increasing network traffic.

Vertically Integrated Center for Technologies of Optical Routing toward Ideal Energy Savings

VICTORIES is developing new network technologies with which we can share chunks of data such as ultra-high definition videos over networks without an energy crunch. Thus, providing technologies enabling tele-presence, tele-conferencing, remote medicine, remote collaboration, tele-educationetc., VICTORIES will contribute to the realization of a low emission society with a sustainable growth.

One of the milestone results of VICTORIES project has been accepted and reported as one of the postdeadline papers of ECOC2014. The title of the paper was, ”First demonstration of ultra-low-energy hierarchical multi-granular optical path network dynamically controlled through NSI-CS for video related pplications”. The live demo of these results will be exhibited in the VICTORIES international symposium WIN2 2014 held at AIST, Tsukuba, Japan, Oct. 8 through 9 .
